Abstract submission
Submitting your abstract to ECIO will enable you to share your work at the world’s most comprehensive interventional oncology meeting.

The deadline for ECIO abstract submission is January 9, 2025 (23:59 CET).
Notifications regarding acceptance or rejection of submitted abstracts will be available by end of February.
All presenting authors of oral and poster presentations, are expected to register for and attend ECIO 2025. Poster presenters need to complete and pay their registration by March 31, otherwise the poster will be withdrawn from the programme of ECIO 2025. Costs associated with the submission and presentation of an abstract are the responsibility of the presenter.

Description
Reports on research projects, studies, trials, etc.

Presentation format
Oral presentation or electronic poster. Submitters can indicate their preferred presentation format. The final decision whether an abstract is accepted for oral presentation or as an electronic poster lies with the Scientific Programme Committee.

FIRST@ECIO clinical trial
Description
Describes a clinical trial with a prospective study design. The final data set has to be presented for the first time at ECIO 2025 (meta-analysis and systematic reviews are not eligible).

Poster Awards
The winners of the Poster Awards will be selected by the ECIO Scientific Programme Committee.
All winners of poster awards will
- receive an invitation to submit a manuscript to CVIR
- be published on CIRSE’s social media
- receive a certificate
In addition, the presenter of the poster receiving the Magna Cum Laude Award will
- receive free registration for a CIRSE 2025 or 2026 congress of their choice
- be interviewed for the CIRSE Insider
Best Scientific Paper Award
The best scientific paper will be selected by ECIO congress attendees. Its presenter will
- receive free registration for a CIRSE 2025 or 2026 congress of their choice
- be invited to submit a manuscript to CVIR
- be interviewed for the CIRSE Insider
Publication in CVIR
All accepted abstracts will be published in a special supplement of CVIR, the longest-running journal in the field of vascular and interventional radiology. An opportunity not to be missed!
